The big advantage of using Studio DB for our building fit-out came from the direct and quick communications between the Studio DB personnel who were managing the construction and us the customer. The multitude of decisions, changes, and add-ons that arose during the project were quickly discussed and resolved without the need for dealing with designers, independent project managers, and other third parties, and without all the attendant hassle and cost. We just dealt with primarily one person and Studio DB took care of the rest: design; builders; painters; electricians; council and consents etc. We are very pleased with our decision to use Studio DB for our building fit-out and believe it has produced significant cost savings. I am happy to recommend them for similar projects.

We retained your firm again as we enjoyed working with you when you completed our prior office fit out nine years ago – that fit out proved to be very functional and effective for the full nine years and it is still in excellent condition after intensive use. There is always some trepidation when a new office fit out is commissioned as to whether it will ‘work’. We utilised your design and layout process because the previous fit out had been so successful and accepted your recommendations for equipment, layout, colour coordination and office functionality. The pure workstation configuration is practical, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The results speak for itself – our team members are all readily enjoying the new environment. We entered into an RFP for the refit and extension of our office. Studio DB provided a proposed design and a quote that was very competitive and within our expectations. They planned out the project in some detail and managed the project over one of our busiest times of the year, while still enabling us to utilise the remaining office space and facilities. We had a dedicated and very accommodating project and site manager which made the management of the project through on central point much more pragmatic and effective. Like any project, once you start there is always things you want to vary, and these contract variations were dealt with in a very constructive manner with transparent and fair pricing. In addition, the loose ends to wrap-up the project were also followed up, even when some were probably outside the project scope or late variation requests. Overall, we were very pleased with the work undertaken by Studio DB. Our team love the new office environment and visitors to our office appreciate the new facilities and fresh look.

Studio DB recently completed 3500sqm of landlord and tenant works over 4 full floors in one of the commercial buildings that Barfoot manages. Studio DB completed the project within a timeframe and within budget being very professional and efficient. They were involved with the total demolition of the site, complete base build, and full fit-ou for the tenant. The team from Studio DB was always in communication and proactive to ensure the project went smoothly from start to finish. Eves engaged Studio DB towards the end of last year after working with them on a number of previous successful projects. We tested the market and found them to be competitive in terms of what we were requiring. The Studio DB team were excellent in the process of council consenting and managing other tenants through this process. We then discussed the target delivery to be pre-Christmas which was achieved with practical completion and CPU from council. There were some hiccups from Council, not the making of Studio DB in any way, but the Studio DB team dealt with them without hassle or fuss and got the job done in time. They helped to refine the design and value engineer finishes to maintain our desired look and feel and manage the project easily from a budget management point of view. The team’s technical knowledge meant we had no concerns with the external building entry/change and all compliance was handled smoothly. The way they handled the landlord works in conjunction with our works was brilliant. They made sure the timeline wasn’t affected in anyway and worked through the breakdown in costings so we could clearly articulate this to the landlord. The communication from start to finish was great and Jared worked really well with the team to make sure the small number of defects were dealt with accordingly. The team at Studio DB did a very good job and it has been a very successful partnership for all parties. In essence I would highly recommend Studio DB for any future works.

Studio DB have been instrumental in assisting with the leasing of a tricky vacancy in my property at 5 High St. The character tenancy was empty and did not have a meeting room. Studio DB did some renders showing indicative layout options and provided these very quickly and cost effectively. I could then share these with the agents and shortly thereafter we got the tenancy leased. Studio DB then carried out the small amount of works that the tenant required in a professional manner. Whilst this was a small job for them in terms of both renders and works, it added a lot of value to the leasing process and therefore to the owners.
